On this Tangier Desert Tour to Marrakech, you will visit the northern part of Morocco, Imperial cities, and the most amazing Sahara desert in the south of Morocco. You will be able to contemplate some of the most impressive and different landscapes of the country. In a comfortable 4×4 or high-end minibus, you will cross roads, cities, valleys, kasbahs, ports, gorges, Camel rides in Merzouga dunes, and Bereber villages with history & Moroccan culture.
Itinerary
Day 1
Tangier - Chefchaouen - Fes
Welcome to Morocco, Our adventure starts today from Tangier to the Blue city of Morocco( Chefchaouen). We will drive through the Rif mountains and Tetouan to Chefchaouan to explore the medina of Chefcahouen. A beautiful unique city with its white-washed walls and its blue doors and windows. Unlike many parts of Morocco, this city was occupied by Spain and the influences of Spanish civilization and architecture are all around. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet locals and walk in this beautiful Medina. In the afternoon we continue to Fes, where we spend the night in a traditional hotel/ riad.
Day 2
Exploring Fes – Ifrane – Azrou - Midelt
In Fes, you will have a guided tour to discover the medina and the famous Souks of Fes – its narrow cobbled streets are filled with ancient mosques and towering green-glazed minarets… You will visit the most beautiful palaces and monuments of Fes. The tour will include a visit to the tannery and the ceramics cooperative to see the traditional Moroccan crafts. Then the road to Midelt through the Middle Atlas region. We will drive through Ifrane and the cedar forests of Azrou where we can stop to hand feed the monkeys. Overnight in charming Riad/hotel.
Day 3
Midelt - Ziz Valley - Erfoud - Merzouga desert
After breakfast, we leave the capital of apples Midelt. Heading to the Sahara desert by Ziz valley and Errachidia the prevalence of the southeast of Morocco. We’ll continue our tour to Erfoud where we may explore fossil products and factories after we reach Merzouga. Welcome tea at the foot of Erg Chebbi dunes, we will ride the camels to a desert camp located in the middle of Sahara. The camel ride takes about an hour. Time to enjoy the sunset over the dunes and having Sandboarding for fun. The dinner will be served in the desert camp and we will enjoy this night in desert tents with Berber drums music under the stars.
Day 4
Merzouga desert – Tourog – Toudra gorge – Dades valley
Early morning to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes, then camel rides back to the village where you will have a fresh shower and breakfast in the guesthouse. We continue our itinerary to one of the best spots for rock climbers( Toudra Gorge) passing by different Bereber villages including Tourog and Tingdad, then Tinghir where is located the Tundra Gorge. Short wald to explore the spot and to refresh you on the river. Our journey finishes in Dades valley. Dinner and overnight stay in charming riad/ hotel.
Day 5
Dades valley – Ouarzazate – Ait ben haddou - Marrakech
After beakfast on the last day of our Tour, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley passing Kalaat Mgouna the After breakfast on the last day of our Tour, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley passing Kalaat Mgouna the rose capital and road of the thousand Kasbahs. We’ll visit the Valley of Roses then Skoura Oasis and we continue to Ouarzazate called the Hollywood of Africa. We will have lunch in Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a visit to the largest Kasbah in Morocco where many movies are filmed including Gladiator, Lowrance of Arabia, and Games of thrones. The kasbah is recommended as one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites in Morocco. We will continue to the high pass 2260M Tizi nTichka, photo stops with nice panoramic views over the High Atlas mountains. We will arrive in Marrakech late afternoon, check to your accommodation. End of our service.
