This Merzouga Dunes Tour from Ouarzazate is not a short weekend getaway, there is nothing more authentic to take a desert Trip to Merzouga desert with a Camel ride and spending night in a traditional Berber nomadic camp with Bereber music show around the campfire under Sahara stars.
Itinerary
Day 1
Ouarzazate - Skoura Oasis - Kelaat M'gouna – Boumalne - Todra Gorges - Merzouga
Morning departure from your hotel/ riad, you will drive to Merzouga via Skoura, the road of thousand kasbahs (visit of the Amredhyle kasbah). heading to the Rose Capital Kalaat M’gouna and Boumalne dadas valley then Tinghir. We will drive up to Todra gorges, a short walk to enjoy the canons then lunch in the place. Afternoon road to Erfoud via the Tingdad and Tourog palm groves, we stop in Erfoud to visit the fabrication of marble and fossils. Continuation to the impressive Merzouga dunes of Erg Chabbi, we exchange the 4×4 for camels to admire the sunset and spend the night under the Nomad tent in the deep of the dunes. Dinner and overnight under-stars camp.
Day 1
Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Tazarine - Draa Valley – Agdez - Ouarzazate
Early morning to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes, camel rides back to the hotel where the 4×4 is parked. Breakfast and depature to words the palm plantation of Tafilalet passing Rissani, the old Alaouite Sahara capital by the ancient Alaouite Sultans(molay ali charif). Raod to Alnif where lunch is waiting. Then Tazarine village, N’kob and Tansikht Oasis. Driving to Ouarzazate by Draa valley and Berber villages of Agdez then Ait-Saoun Pass (1.160alt), Arrival in Ouarzazate and drop off in your accommodation. End of the trip…
