Sahara Desert Trip from Marrakech 3 Days/ 2 Nights
1st Day: Marrakech – Atlas mountain – Ait Ben haddou – Rose valley – Dades gorges
Morning departure from your accommodation toward the highest pass in the Atlas mountains(2.260alt) Tizi-n-tichka. You’ll see many of Berber villages, stop at the famous kasbah of Ait Ben-haddou. The Unesco world heritage, where many movies filmed the main ones, Lawrence of Arabia, Tea in The Sahara, Game of Thrones and Gladiator. Visit of the Kasbah to discover the real Berbers life style. Lunch in the kasbah. On your way to Dades gorges you’ll see couple of Berber farmers in Skoura Palm trees and Rose valley. Heading to the gorges its here you’ll appreciate tranquility of Atlas mountains, have chance to explore the scene of daily life of Berber-Nomads isolated by the quietness moutain. 2nd Day: Dades gorges – Bomalne – Todra gorges – Tourog – Arfoud – Merzouga
Have your breakfast and walk little bit between the beautiful Canyons, before heading for Merzouga, through an other kind of gorges Toudra ones, where you’ll have a short walk and to stop for a while to refersh yourself by bathing in the cold water of the river. Lunch on the way to Sahara in one of the bereber villages in Tinagdad or Toroug. Arrive to Merzouga, Morocco’s only genuine Saharan Erg(250m high) one of the those huge drifting expanses of sand dunes that typify much of the Algerian Sahara. Your camels are load-up, It’s here where you will have Camel ride off the ocean of the golden-sand to the nomadic camp under stars. While traveling to your camp you’ll appreciate the pure beauty of the landscape and sunset over the magic sand dunes. Dinner and overnight in the middle of the dunes, under nomadic tent.
3rd Day: Merzouga – Rissani – Nkoub – Draa valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
You will wake up early morning to see the sunrise over the sand dunes, having your breakfast and drive back to Ouarzazate via Rissani one of the oldest cities in Morocco and the capital of destiny Alaoui family. This spot was centuries ago a very busy commercial trade centre sub-saharan African and to the North by the caravanseryais of the touareg. You’ll pause in the mean desert gate and nomad market it’s considered the largest one in the whole south of Morocco. Heading to Tazarine and couple of other Berber villages of Nkoub and Agdez. You will see the magnificent plam garden of the Draa valley oasis, the longest revier in Morocco. Arrive to Ouarzazate for lunch, then road to Marrakech via Tizi-n-tichka pass by serval of photo stop’s along the way. Check into the hotel and end of the trip…
