On this tour from Marrakech to Desert and Fez, you will visit the most amazing part of the Sahara desert of Morocco and you will be able to contemplate some of the most impressive and different landscapes of the country. In a comfortable 4×4 or Minivan, we will cross roads, dirt tracks, valleys, ports, gorges, dunes, and Bereber villages with Culture & History ending in Fes.
Itinerary
Day 1
Marrakech - Ait ben haddou - Ouarzazate - Skoura - Rose valley - Dades gorges
Morning departure from your hotel/riad via the highest pass in the Atlas mountains(2.260alt) Tizi-NTichka. You’ll explore the bereber villages with photo stops along the way. Heading to the famous kasbah of Ait Benhaddou( The Unesco world heritage site) where many movies filmed the main ones, Lawrence of Arabia, Tea in The Sahara, Game of Thrones, and Gladiator. On your way to Dades gorges, you’ll see a couple of Berber farmers in Skoura. Heading to the gorges it’s here you’ll appreciate the tranquility of Atlas mountains, have the chance to explore the scene of the daily life of Berber-Nomads isolated by the quiet mountain. Check into the hotel.
Day 2
Dades gorges - Bomalne - Todra gorges - Arfoud- Merzouga
Have your breakfast and walk a little bit between the beautiful Canyons, before heading for Merzouga, through another kind of gorges, Todra ones, where you’ll stop for a while to refresh yourself by bathing in the cold water of the river. Arrive in Merzouga Morocco’s only genuine Saharan Erg(250m high), one of those huge, drifting expanses of dunes that typify much of the Algerian Sahara. Your camels are load-up, It is here that you will ride off the ocean of the golden sand. While traveling to your camp you’ll appreciate the pure beauty of the landscape. night in the middle of the dunes, under the nomadic tent.
Day 3
Merzouga - Erg Chebbi - Merzouga
Waking up early morning fro to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes the camel ride back to Hotel for breakfast, we start to explore the area by road of Paris Dakar rally to the desert through the two oases of Merzouga. Arrive in Khamlia village (village of blacks) time to enjoy Gnawa music show then Mifiss mines and meeting the nomadic Berbers in the desert, Tissardmine oasis. Arrival at the hotel, time to watch the sunset over the dunes. We will pass the night in your accommodation. Dinner and night in the hotel
Day 4
Merzouga - Arfoud - Ziz valley - Azrou - Fes
Time for another chance to wake up to witness the beautiful scenery of sunrise from the top of the dunes of Erg Chebbi Merzouga, Breakfast will be served at Hotel, and take a shower. After being done with Merzouga sightseeing, you’ll be transferred to Arfoud heading to Fez through Ziz valley, Midelt for lunch, and then the famed Middle Atlas cedar forest with its Barbery apes. Late afternoon arrival to Fes, drop off at your riad/hotel with amazing stories and unforgettable memories in your mind. Check into the hotel and end of the trip…
